Matt Gibson enters his second season as the goaltending coach for the Blue Jays. In his first season, senior goalie Danny Coble earned First Team All-America honors from the NSCAA.
Gibson was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starting goalkeeper at Wright State. Following his career with the Raiders, he moved on to the professional ranks. Gibson started three years for the Dayton Gemini of the Premier Development League and played a year for the Cincinnati Kings.
Gibson has coached at many levels, including the Ohio South Olympic Development Program (ODP), the Centerville United South Association, the Ohio Elite Soccer Academy and the Sycamore Arsenal Soccer Club. In addition, he was the assistant goalkeeper coach for the men's and women's teams at Bellbrook High School.
Gibson earned both his bachelor's degree (2002) and MBA (2004) from Wright State.
