LORTON, VA - The Johns Hopkins women's crew team competed at the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Crew Championships last weekend. Highlighting the regatta was a bronze for the Varsity 4 crew in the grand final.

The Novice 4 crew finished fourth in their heat with a time of 8:49.6. Crewing the boat were Courtney Cunningham (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel), Madison West (New Britain, CT/Hotchkiss), Amelia Whitman (Galesville, MD), Ue Jin Kim (Houston, TX/Stratford) and Allison Carlstrom (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge). The crew then finished second in the petite final with a time of 8:51.5.

The Varsity 4 crew claimed the bronze in the grand final with a time of 8:04.7. Crewing the boat were Danielle Fair (Doylestown, PA/Hun School of Princeton), Katie Blumer (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater Area), Laura DeMare (West Bloomfield, MI/West Bloomfield), Allison Hoy (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) and Rebecca Williamson (Burlington, Ontario/Hillfield Strathallan).

Hopkins concludes the season at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 11-12 in Philadelphia, PA.
