COLLEGEVILLE, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team is in third place after day one of the Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship. Rachel Hogen ran a personal best in the one-mile to lead the Blue Jays.

Haverford leads the tournament after day one with 66 points while Dickinson is second with 40 points. Hopkins rounds out the top three with 36.50 points.

Hogen ran a 5:07.53 and took third place in the one-mile run. Cate White was 12th in the same event with a time of 5:32.51. Anita Mikkilineni posted a time of 9.07 in the 55-meter hurdles preliminary and qualified for tomorrow's final.

Paula Osborn ran the fastest time in the 55-meter dash preliminary and qualified for tomorrow's final. She ran a 7.50 and will be joined in the final by teammate Jessica Reeves who ran a 7.66, for the third fastest time.

Emma Hiza gave the Blue Jays a fourth place finish in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:41.36.

The 4x200 relay team of Reeves, Mikkilineni, Osborn and Jordan Ireton finished third in their event with a time of 1:50.10. In the field events, Becky Lossing took seventh in the long jump with a 4.83m. Reeves was second in the pole vault with a final vault of 2.89m.

Hopkins will look to improve upon its strong showing on day two of the Centennial Conference Championship on Sunday, March 2.
