BOSTON, MA - The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team competed at the ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championship over the weekend. Junior Jordan Ireton finished second in the 500-meter run to lead the Blue Jays.

Moravian won the meet finishing with 56 points on the weekend. MIT (42.5 pts.) and Bates (42 pts.) rounded out the top three teams. Hopkins finished with 19 points and in 16th place for the meet.

Ireton captured second place in the 500-meters to lead the Blue Jays. She crossed the line with a time of 1:18.26, just a second behind the first place finisher. Fellow junior Rachel Hogen took ninth place in the one-mile run with a time of 5:14.07.

Emma Hiza finished 17th in the 5,000-meters with a time of 18:32.06. Paula Osborn crossed the line in 7.54 to take 15th place in the 55-meter dash. Osborn also placed 19th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.74.

The 4x220 relay team placed 11th with a time of 1:49.80 in its event. With a time of 9:39.05, the 4x880 relay team claimed third place in its event. The distance medley relay team was able to place fourth with a time of 12:32.94.

Becky Lossing placed ninth in the high jump with a 1.56m in the finals.

Hopkins wrapped up its indoor season by competing at the ECAC Indoor Championship. The Blue Jays will begin the outdoor season on March 28 and 29 by competing in the Raleigh Relays and the Terrapin Invitational.
