BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over FDU-Florham in the first round of the ECAC Tournament on Wednesday night in Baltimore. The Blue Jays (24-5) advance to the second round of the ECAC South Tournament with the victory, their fourth ever victory in an ECAC Tournament game. FDU-Florham (27-12) remains winless in four appearances in the tournament.

Hopkins jumped out to the early advantage with a 30-18 victory in game one. The Blue Jays hit .361 in game one compared to the Devils who hit .129. Hopkins took game two by a score of 30-17, hitting .342 in that contest compared to FDU-Florham's .000. The Blue Jays clinched the match with a 30-25 victory in game three.

Junior Amanda Lewis (San Antonio, TX/St. Mary's Hall) posted her sixth double-double of the year with 45 assists and 12 digs. Sophomore Allison Cappelaere (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) contributed her ninth double-double of the year with 12 kills and 12 digs while recording six service aces. Senior Natalia Fijalkowski (Windsor, CA/Windsor) playing in her final home match of her career recorded 14 kills while junior Kim Jackanich (Pacifica, CA/St. Ignatius College Prep) posted 11 kills, eight assists and eight digs.

Kerry Kuperman posted a double-double for the Devils with 22 assists and 10 digs. Steph Burrell and Holly Farricy tied for the team lead with 11 digs on the night.
